RMIT FABPOD
Sapphire proudly sponsored and assisted with the RMIT FABPOD project. Sapphire has recently anodised some of the spun aluminium spheres in Bright Paradisi to help bring the FABPOD to life.
JCU - Education Central
Wilson Architects have collaborated with Architects North to expand their interpretation of modern teaching in the creation of the new JCU - Specialist Teaching & Student Services Precinct now known as Education Central - JCU.
Aerial Apartments
Sapphire worked with Wood Marsh with our anodised finishes to create the stunning foyer for Victoria's new premier apartment development by FKP
Landmark HK
Sapphire and Jeb have helped unite the four Landmark sites together by providing a unique range of finishes and textures on aluminium refurbish the old pedestrian bridges that link the premium sites together
RMIT SAB (BUILDING 80)
Sapphire was very pleased and excited to help bring the RMIT SAB building to life. Sapphire was at work early in the project after being contacted by Lyons Architecture to help develop the anodised colours used to adorn the facade of the RMIT SAB Building. This is the largest anodising project undertaken by Sapphire to date that involved new processes to manage a project of this size. Sapphire then worked closely with builders Brookfield Multiplex as the various stages progressed.
Mildura Arts Centre
Williams Boag contacted Sapphire to come up with a striking colour for the front facade of the new Mildura Arts Centre and in particular wanted to focus on the the cut out and lighting of the MAC. Sapphire's Matt Chilli in 25 micron was chosen as the finish and colour to adorn the new Arts Centre and specially cut aluminium sheeting was individually anodised then mounted on the facade.
UQ Michie Building
Sapphire provided the finishes to help bring the UQ Michie building to interact with the 21st century. The University of Queensland’s Michie Building (Pronounced Miki), named after Foundation Professor John Lundie Michie, is undergoing the first refurbishment since it was built in 1972. Located at the Western End of the Great Court on the St Lucia Campus, the eight story building is home to the School of Social Science, the RD Milns Antiquities Museum and the Anthropology Museum.
The CUBE
The Cube Wodonga is a state-of-the-art entertainment centre in Wodonga's central business district. It was completed in August 2012 and replaced the former Wodonga Civic Centre.
KPMG
Sapphire Anopanel has been used by M Moser to give a luxurious feel to the foyer the new fitout for KPMG in Hong Kong. Panels were supplied through our agent Jeb Asia in Hong Kong
BIialik College Library
Sapphire has supplied the anodised coatings for the new Bialik College Library to Sankeys range of aluminium expanded mesh which was used for the sunscreen to the North facade and ceilings to stunning effect.
RMIT SAB Portals
RWA worked in conjunction with Lyons to deliver eight unique Portal spaces within the new state-of-the-art educational facility at RMIT University. The SAB Portals will play an important role within the culture of the University by providing passive areas for relaxation, contemplation as well as providing learning opportunities and a variety of different teaching spaces.
Pharmacare
Sapphire was contacted by ODCM to assist with colours to give a striking presence to a the design concept for the main stairway into the Pharmacare's new state of the art facility.
Allen & Overy
Sapphire worked closely with the team at BVN Architecture to develop a solution that would maintain the new guidleines of the BCA code whilst maintaining a slim look and feel to the office fronts. The solution lay in using our Microline glazing system at 40mm wide x 50mm high combined with Sapphire sliding doors running behind the glazed office fronts.
Linear Apartments
Sapphire worked with Ascui Edwards to deliver a range of transition colours to help accentuate the graduation of free flowing curves on the street facade of the new Linear Apartments.
Knox City State Basketball Centre
Sapphire was contacted by Mantric Architects seeking assistance in development of a striking colour for the backlit feature wall within the external facade for The Knox Indoor Sports Stadium.
Innovation Building - Digital Harbour Stage 2
Sapphire was contacted by ARM to assist in developing a colour pallet to use on the exterior of their new Innovation Building Project which now houses NBN CO Operations Centre.
Australian Red Cross
Sapphire's Wideline Medium Frame in Matt Abyss AA25 Anodising was used to help create a work of Art by BVN for the Australian Red Cross's new headquarters and blood processing centre.
Goodman Fielders
The new facility includes flexible workplace across six upper floors with the main reception and client function floor at the lower entrance level. This reception floor includes a 600sqm Culinary Centre, a state of the art research and development facility for Goodman Fielder's latest products as well as a training, client function, breakout area and staff shop.
Deloitte
Sapphire finishes and partition systems were selected by HBO + EMTB as they could be sourced in each state around the country and The initial commission involved the redesign of one level of their Grosvenor Place premises in Sydney.
Sapphire Aluminium is proud to have helped Google acheive a six star energy rating throug the use of Anodising, the green alternative finish and its quality recyclable aluminium partition suites.
Aristocrat Leisure Corporate HQ
Aristocrat’s brief was to create an efficient workspace that demonstrates a cohesive professional organisation. Geyer’s solution was to design delineated yet similar spaces to increase the connection. The Answer was Sapphire Partition Systems in Matt Natural combined with a bold colour scheme.
Jane Foss Russell Building
John Wardle Architects selected Sapphires Anodised finishes to reflect the changing colours of the leaves on the trees that surround the project within the Universitie's grounds.
The Ian Potter Centre - NGV Australia, Federation Square
This building comprehensively presents the National Gallery of Victoria's collection of Australian Art. A total of 7,250 m2 of gallery space showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, historic and modern Australian collections and contemporary art and galleries for special exhibitions.
Transport, Federation Square
As an iconic building, Transport has a dual role in design terms. It creates a distinctive southern entry marker to both Federation Square and Melbourne city, with functional roles for the Square by providing the south-western enclosure, support to the large outdoor LED screen and important wind protection for the terraces.
Go Between Bridge
Sapphire was contacted by HSLA to come up with advice regarding the suitability of anodising for the screen on the bridge in order to help beautify the bridge and worked with HSLA and Locker Group to come up with three of Sapphire's Colours in 25 micron
The Blowhole Sculpture
Sapphire was approached in 2004 by Architect Dean Stemler to provide anodised finishes to create a 15-metre-high wind-powered kinetic sculpture.
Stanhope Parkway Bridge
Sapphire provided Anodised aluminium sheet for use in cladiing the tower and underside of the bridge due to its durability and aesthetic appeal in keeping with the green credentials of the creation this new land release in Sydney's west.
National Sports Museum
Designed as a living room for sports buffs, the National Sports Museum is located deep in the undercroft of the redeveloped Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium.
Australian War Memorial - The Conflicts 1945 to Today galleries
The interpretive approach of the Australian War Memorial is to present personal stories through both traditional and contemporary media, allowing the visitor to engage at different levels with the hardship and horrors experienced by Australian personnel.
Aurora Feature Light - Burswood Casino
Measuring a whopping 9m long and 2m wide, the ornate oval-shaped, three dimensional light display is known as The Aurora. It’s named after the rare and stunning natural light shows created in the Earth’s atmosphere.
Burwood Hwy Pedestrian Bridge - 2009
The Burwood Highway Pedestrian bridge is part of Victoria's Bicycle Pathway program in providing safe non stop commuting paths for pedestrians and cyclists.
Myer Mural Hall
Sapphire was contacted by NH Architecture to assist in developing a new concept for the Myer Mural featuring custom designed embossed panels to create a multi-colour wall of different textures and finishes.
African + Eastern
Sapphire Aluminium supplied through agents Jeb Asia the anodised panels use for the wall & counter linings and the custom made seat.
UNSW - Lowy Cancer Reseach Centre Atrium
Sapphire worked in conjunction with the Fitout Contractor Cubic Interiors to fulfil the design intent proposed by Wilson + Lahznimmo Architects for the atrium of the new Lowy Reseach Centre at UNSW.
Lattitude Tower Fire Stairs
Sapphire worked in conjunction with the fitout contractor for the base building Cubic Interiors to provide a durable lumanescent finish for the cladding on the fire stairs on the tower.
530 Collins
530 Collins is one of Melbourne's largest premium office buildings ideally situated in the heart of the corporate precinct. Large, flexible floor plates and superior services ensure businesses are at their most productive, bolstered by significant sustainability measures which will deliver a 5 star NABERS Energy rating in 2011.
Parramatta Trials Court Rooms
Sapphire was contacted by Lyons to assist in developing finishes on aluminium that would be a pleasant alternative to the tradition timber interiors in court rooms. A new Aluwall pabel was developed in response that clips together with invisible fixing.
Neo 200 Apartments - 2007
Neo 200 is the largest residential building on the western edge of Melbourne's central business district. With 180 degree views, the tower is designed to accommodate emerging demographic trends for smaller apartments located close to services and amenities.
Bendigo Bank HQ
Bendigo Bank commissioned BVN Architecture and Gray Puksand to design the corporate headquarters in Bendigo to house over 1,000 staff. The brief for the building and integrated fitout coalesces 5 current locations into one central facility.
Queensland Brain Institute
The outcome of a competition to design a research facility for the University of Queensland dedicated to understanding the brain. The new building houses a remarkably broad gathering of the scientific community including researchers, associated schools, centres, institutes and commercial bodies.
Ginger Boy Restaurant
Gingerboy is Ezard’s other half: a funky interpretation of traditional Asian dishes and flavours from various parts of Thailand, Malaysia and China; street and family food dressed up for the urban hip. It’s a modern Australian interpretation of an overt cuisine and culture, and there is nothing demure about the place.
Eureka Skydeck
Sapphire supplied finishes for aluminium sheet used as wall cladding within the Eureka Skydeck Level 88 Fitout.
BHP Billiton
Sapphire was approached by Lyons to assist in creating a metallic feel to the Qv2 foyer for the global headquarters of BHP BIlliton. Lyons chose three of Sapphire's finishes in Matt Mako, Linished Bright Chrome and Matt Blush to create the modern feel of the foyer which instantly lets you know that you arrived at BHP.

Ballarat Learning Exchange
Located within a high-profile precinct in Ballarat in regional Victoria, the Exchange is surrounded by historic and contemporary buildings. Colour was the generator of a new identity for a new type of institutional building.
