Environment Controls
Sapphire is living proof that a company can remain competitive and quality-driven whilst practising high environmental, workplace and business ethics demanded by modern legislation. Like all manufacturing industries, we produce by-products. But not all businesss can claim to have implemented environmental control technology that renders all liquid and atmospheric emissions inert. Naturally, we are licenced and monitored by the Environmental Protection Authority, Waterboard and local Governent Authorities, but it is the computerised environmental protection system we have installed that ensures that nothing enters the water system or air that can cause any harm.
Water Control
Computer controlled sensors monitor liquid effluent 24 hours a day ensuring that legislation is met for the release of treated water from our trade waste system . A sms message is automatically generated by the system advising management and production staff of any out of range reading, so that it can be attended to and rectified immediately.
Air Control
Fumes produced by our brightening processes are treated through an Air Scrubbing system that neutralises the gases to nitrogen and oxygen before leaving the factory and entering the atmosphere. Again the system is fully montored and controlled by computer systems that will generate an sms message and send to the management and production staff should any fault in the system be identified.
For employees, Occupational Health and Safety training is mandatory and external agencies are used to monitor its implementation. The care we take in matters of employment and the environment is matched only by the care we take in ensuring every Sapphire product supplied, exceeds our customers expectations. |
